Juniors:
Freedom Fainters Smokestack
(MGR # pending) Sire: F5087 Freedom Fainters Sky Chaser Dam: C4613 Moenning Hill Farm Annalise Smokestack, aka "Buck", captured our attention early on. His build, overall looks and personality made him the spring 2023 buckling that we wanted to "grow out". Definitely impressive at a young age, only time will tell on what his future looks like. |
Seniors
Freedom Fainters Sky Chaser
F5087 Sky Chaser is an April 2022 retained buckling out of Freedom Fainters Big Sky Country and Freedom Fainters Cadette. He was paired with a handful of does for his first kidding season and boy did he produce! The babies were built beautifully and the patterning was some of the most unique ever seen on the farm. As he grows, he is showing us he needs to try out the show ring as well. This guy might just be something special! |
Naughty Goat Acres Detonator
F5076 On December 30, 2022 we traveled to central Iowa to pick up our two doelings from Naughty Goat Acres. While there, this guy kept following Angie around. We had been casually looking for a quality, polled buck to add to our herd and this little guy seemed to say "pick me, pick me". There were several reasons why we decided to go with him. While only 3 months old, his build suggests that he will bring additional width to our herd. He has excellent breed character and isn't related to anything on our farm. It doesn't hurt that he is flashy, as well. Detonator is out of Naughty Goat Acres Spitfire and Mar-Bob Napoleon Dynamite. He is a friendly, little guy and we are excited to watch him grow! He tried his hand at the show ring this summer as well. Judges were complimentary and we are excited to see what he throws when it comes to kids. |
E1462 Moenning Hill Farm Storm Chaser
1x Overall Grand Champion Buck (The Show Me Classic-2023)
"Storm" is a September 22, 2019 buckling we acquired from Ms. Staci Rogers of Moenning Hill Farm. The moment we laid eyes on him, we had fallen in love. Lucky for us, he became available and on November 30th we officially were able to call him "ours" and bring him home. While we loved what we saw in photos, when we saw him in person we knew we had made the right choice. At only 9 weeks old, we marveled at his overall build, in particular the width of his chest. His first kids hit the ground in October 2020 and he did not disappoint. Most were spoken for prior to them arriving. When his 2nd crop of kids arrived in the spring of 2021, we knew we had something special. A majority of his doelings were retained and are in the beginning stages of hitting the show ring. We are building a large doe herd out of his daughters and we are finding the judges are equally impressive with these girls. When Storm was younger, we had tried taking him to a show. He was so nervous and worked up, that we ended up scratching him from competing. Being a full grown adult and having a show close to home, we decided to try entering him one more time. We knew we could bring him home right away, if he got too stressed. He ended up settling in and commanded everyone's attention with his impressive horn set! Tears filled Angie's eyes when it was announced that he earned Overall Grand Champion Buck and his first point towards being a permanent grand champion. We've always knew he had it in him, we just needed to get him to a show and prove it. Storm is going to continue playing a huge role on shaping our future herd and we are thrilled about moving forward.

Bodacious came to Freedom Fainters in June of 2018. We had been watching him grow since his birth. When the opportunity presented itself, we purchased him from my mother-in-law who decided to retire from raising myotonics. Lucky us!
Bodacious entered the show ring in Cuba, Missouri in 2022 and commanded everyone's attention. Under judge, Debbie Mullins, Bodacious took home Champion Senior buck and Overall Grand Reserve Buck. We felt proud hearing Ms. Mullins tell us we should take him home and breed him to every doe on our property! Bodacious has the kind of disposition you pray for in a buck. He is gentle to work with and gentle with the does. We really do consider ourselves blessed to have this buck as one of our herd sires. |
